Gmail takes on Facebook, Twitter by launching their kewl new service/feature called Google Buzz.
As expected earlier, Google today announced & Launched Google Buzz, a set of social networking tools for Gmail that are designed to take on Facebook and Twitter in terms of live feed results.
Google Buzz launches on two fronts, and Google has issued separate announcements for each: one on the Gmail blog and another on the Google Mobile blog. Here’s a quick look at how each one works, as well as more about Google Buzz in general.
Mainly, The new feature adds a Twitter-like status update system, so you have a new way you can tell everyone what you had for lunch, or point them to the cool new videos you just found on YouTube.
